The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa will host an indulgent Thanksgiving Day buffet dinner that will make guests thankful they’re not cooking this year. The gourmet meal, prepared by Executive Chef Russell Michel and served in the beautiful Arizona Ballroom, showcases traditional holiday favorites with a fine dining twist.
On November 26, the feast will begin with a selection of salads, artisan breads, and a display of international cheeses and fruits. The expansive carving station will offer Brown Maple Sugar Glazed Ham with whole grain mustard; Sage Brushed Turkey with giblet gravy, cranberry-orange relish and cranberry sauce; and Whole Roasted Pesto Crusted Prime Rib of Beef with creamy horseradish and au jus. A Seafood Station will include Lemon Fennel Poached Shrimp and Crab Claws, Smoked Salmon, and the Chef’s Ceviche station. Filling out the selections is Pan Roasted Salmon, Roasted Root Vegetables and Fall Squash, Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes with roasted garlic and asiago, Candied Yams with golden raisins and marshmallows, and Butternut Squash Ravioli with sage brown butter and toasted walnuts.
Don’t miss the amazing dessert presentation created by Chef Marcos Castro with pumpkin pie and cheesecake, as well as tempting cake pops and s’mores. Select wines, beers and cocktails will also be available for purchase.
The Thanksgiving Day buffet will be served from 12 to 5 p.m. in the Arizona Ballroom. Pricing is $64.40 for adults, $26.25 for children 6-12 years old, and kids under 5 years old eat free. These prices include service charge and tax. Seating is limited and reservations are required.
Guest may also choose to enjoy Thanksgiving at AZuL Restaurant for a peaceful three-course meal overlooking the Catalina Mountains. The resort’s contemporary dining venue will serve a special dinner beginning with an Autumn Pear and Apple Salad, followed by Sage Brushed Turkey with seasonal accompaniments, and finished with Pumpkin Pie topped with Chantilly cream. The AZuL holiday menu is priced at $34.95, or $49.95 with wine pairings, and will be served from 5 to 10 p.m. Reservations are required. Music from Spanish guitarist Todd Mellor will provide diners with the perfect Southwest holiday soundtrack in the AZuL Lounge from 6 to 9 p.m.
Spend the entire Thanksgiving weekend at The Westin La Paloma and take advantage of an offer to receive a complimentary third night and a $50 resort credit, with the possibility of a free room upgrade, based upon availability. The resort will feature family-friendly events throughout the weekend, like a Family Pictionary Challenge, Pottery Painting, Live Entertainment, and the Holiday Tree Lighting. Visitors can fill the rest of their days with a relaxing experience at the Red Door Salon & Spa for a deep tissue massage or rejuvenating facial; golf the 27-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, or play tennis on one of 10 courts, and balance the hearty meal with a social workout.
