The old west lives again in the streets of Trail Dust Town; a reconstructed town depicting the late 1880's. It is here that you will experience the rip roaring excitement of days gone by. The entire town is bustling with action. Browse in the trading post of galleries, have a tintype souvenir photograph taken, or enjoy the majestic sun setting in the West.

As guests enter through French-beveled glass doors imported from London's Savoy Hotel, you will step back in time. In keeping with the opera houses of that period, the decor includes red velvet-draped windows, a tin-paneled ceiling, leaded and etched glass windows, antique mahogany woodwork and two antique bars, providing a truly elegant setting.

You may choose to have a banjo band and ragtime piano player offering renditions of western tunes and encourage your guests to sing along. Dinner can be served on tables decorated with lanterns and covered in blue and white checked cloths. The serving staff could be in western attire and a country western band can warm up the dance floor with a little country swing!

WILD HORSE RANCH

The Wild Horse Ranch is the oldest guest ranch in the State of Arizona. Geronimo used to roam the high hills directly behind the ranch during his fierce resistance. The ranch was a base camp for the gold and silver miners teeming over the Tucson Mountain Range. It held the last squatter's rights in Arizona, and still boasts an as yet undiscovered hoard of bullion, stolen from one of the passing stagecoaches.

The present ranch was built in the 1890's by the Yaqui Indians, using adobe mud, straw and rocks. Originally named Eureka Ranch, the ranch was host to some of the great western film stars including "The Duke" John Wayne, Gary Cooper, and James Stewart to name a few.
