"The
desert with its rim of arid mountains spotted like the leopard's
skin or tattooed with the amazing patterns of creation is
a 'Desert Garden' the likes of which in sheer beauty of
space and pattern does not exist, I think, in the world"
-- Frank Lloyd Wright
The above quote from
Frank Lloyd Wright in his 1935 journal regarding Arizona,
expresses the first impression one receives when viewing
the Santa Catalina Mountains from the 30-foot arched windows
that line the rear of the Desert Garden Bistro Restaurant.
Offset from the main lobby by tiered levels, the Desert
Garden Bistro is a casual, comfortable atmosphere with indoor
and outdoor seating, open for three meals daily from 6:30
AM to 9:00 PM. A variety of bistro style entrees are offered
ranging from fresh salads to pasta and prime meats.
Sunday Brunch at The Westin La Paloma
has become a local tradition. Lavish displays of epicurean
delights adorn serving tables set to please the most discriminating
of tastes. Salmon, turkey and hot roast baron of beef au
jus share attention with the pasta station, the omelet and
Belgian Waffle area and the assorted cakes, gateaus, mousses,
parfaits and pastries. Brunch is served in the Desert Garden
Bistro Sundays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Please enjoy The Desert Garden Bistro's
recent
review in Cognoscenti Magazine.
