The Westin La Paloma Resort and Tucson Jazz Society Kick off Fall Concert Series
The Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa and the Tucson Jazz Society have partnered to jazz up the Fall season by presenting The Sounds of Shearing concert on October 27 and the Big Band Extravaganza Event on November 2.
The Sounds of Shearing will perform at The Westin La Paloma Resort presented by the Tucson Jazz Society and will feature three of the original members of the George Shearing Quintet under the direction of Charlie Shoemake. General admission tickets: are $30 in advance or $35 at the door; $25 in advance or $30 at the door for Tucson Jazz Society members; $15 with a student or military identification; and
VIP Tickets including a VIP "Meet & Greet" are $50. Tickets are now available at www.tucsonjazz.org.
The Big Band Extravaganza Event will feature Pete Christlieb of “The Tonight Show” Orchestra on Tenor Saxophone, John Allred on Trombone, and the University of Arizona Studio Jazz Band Directed by Jeff Haskell. Tickets are available at www.tucsonjazz.org ranging from $25-35 based on seating. A meet and greet ticket add-on option for an additional $25.00.
